There’s this group of people that I know from a mutual game we play online. Most of them I’ve never met in real life, but some I talk to a lot about non-game stuff and have known for almost five years now- so they’re friends. He was one such guy, so ‘breaking up’ wasn’t as much a major emotional hassle as it was a matter of blocking him from all social media sites(he had already stopped playing the game)… Certainly not as much trouble as cutting off a friend that you see everyday(still, I care about my online friends, and don’t like to write anyone off unless they become really intolerable). There’s only been one occasion where I managed to break up with a friend that I saw everyday, in person- and that was by moving to another city after college and ‘accidentally’ losing their number. :/ So I’m just as bad. I dunno how to do it otherwise.
