pauliorra replied to your post: The argument is unique to him. It has been repeated by other apologists, but they all credit him. In Christian circles, people know who made the argument. Yes, it has been defeated because 1) it demonstrates an ignorant understanding of natural selection 2) it employs faulty Bayesian theory to support its prior probability. It’s still spoken about, but it doesn’t threaten evolution in the slightest.

I like Plantinga. He is amazing. My professor studied under him, and one of his nephews, actually, is a professor in my department.

That’s neat :). I wish I had the time or the location to take philosophy or theology classes again. As it is, I have to make do with books. Not that books aren’t great, but I miss the discussion.
